Every weekday morning in December from 8: Start your day with us! We’ll be screening the advent series Jul i Svingen on the library’s big screen.
Thursday, December 5, 9:00–10:00 AM: Researcher Breakfast: Peatlands – Nature’s Carbon Storage (EN). We welcome PhD candidate Emmanuel Aduse-Poku from the Department of Energy Resources, who will present his research on Norwegian peatlands.
Friday, December 6, 12:15–1:00 PM: Bøker & Beats – Student concert in the library. This Friday, experience the eclectic and melodic duo Singstad/Schmidt.
Tuesday, December 10, 8:15–10:00 AM: Norway’s Path to Net Zero. What will the business sector do to reach the net-zero goal?
Wednesday, December 11, 9:00–11:30 AM: Shut Up & Write for PhDs. Are you working on your PhD and need focused time to write? Join us to stay productive!
Wednesday, December 11, 2:00–3:00 PM: Christmas Workshop. Bring along a cup to decorate—we’ll provide the paint, gingerbread cookies, and a festive atmosphere.
Friday, December 13, 9:30–10:00 AM: Lucia Procession in the Library. We’re delighted to welcome children from the Krabat and Havhesten kindergartens, who will walk through the library singing traditional Lucia songs.
Throughout December:
- Write a Christmas wish and hang it on our tree.
- Experience an art exhibition by talented art and design students from UiS.
