Kickstart your day with an exciting dive into UiS's groundbreaking research on geothermal energy, while enjoying breakfast!
UiS has constructed a new energy center for local heating and cooling based on geothermal energy.
The Energy Center is not only a technological milestone for sustainable heating and cooling—it’s also a cutting-edge laboratory for research and education.
Green Innovation on Campus: The new energy system at UiS provides 110,000 m² of campus buildings with hydronic heating and cooling, while cutting CO2 emissions by over 80%.
But that’s not all. The energy center also facilitates research and education in geothermal energy, creating a significant opportunity to establish a dynamic and collaborative research platform.
Professor Mohsen Assadi from the Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering leads research that leverages the Energy Center as a laboratory for geothermal energy. During this Researcher Breakfast, he will share insights into how this lab fosters dynamic research, collaboration, and education opportunities.
Don’t miss this chance to get inspired and informed while enjoying a delicious breakfast in great company.
