The history of the Cathedral and Kongsgård Cathedral School is closely intertwined. Together, they have contributed to the development and education of the city of Stavanger, which celebrates its 900th anniversary this year. 

Anne Lise Ådnøy was herself a student at Kongsgård. Today, she is the Bishop of the Diocese of Stavanger. On this Thursday, she will give a lecture on how the cathedral school and the church played a crucial role in the development of the city of Stavanger. 

Exhibition 

Throughout the week, we will also display the oldest Bibles in the Kongsgård Collection. Among the items, you will find a Danish Bible from the period right after the Reformation.
