«Suor Angelica» in an opera composed by Giacomo Puccini that premiered in 1918. The story revolves around a young noblewoman named Sister Angelica who is forced to join a convent after giving birth to an illegitimate child. The opera is divided into one act and takes place entirely in the monastery.
Exploring themes of love, sacrifice and redemption, the opera in known for its poignant portrayal of Sister Angelica's struggle with the past and her eventual acceptance of her fate. Puccini's music beautifully captures the emotional depth of the story and remains a beloved work in the opera repertoire.

You can experience this opera either Saturday 13th of May at St. Petri Church in Stavanger at 7 pm, or at Sandnes Church Sunday, May 14th, at 6 pm.
