Celebration in Bjergsted Cultural Park

During the City Festival from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 April, there will be four days of music, dance and art when over 1500 children, young people, students, musicians and artists gather in Bjergsted Cultural Park to celebrate Stavanger's rich cultural life. The official opening will be by Mayor Tormod W. Losnedal on Thursday 24th April at 5pm.
The Bjergsted Party is an open invitation to see and experience how art and culture are created in Stavanger. Here you will not only see performances, but also take part in the process behind it. There will be concerts, dance performances, parades and open houses, and you can meet those who fill Bjergsted with life every day. Invite your friends and family – we look forward to seeing you and celebrating Stavanger's 900th anniversary with us!
Participants: Students from the Faculty of Performing Arts, University of Stavanger, professional dancers, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, students at MDD Bjergsted, students at Stavanger Cultural School, choir and band from Rogaland Music Council.
