The result of round 1 and invitations to round 2 will be shared by e-mail in the end of May. You only receive an invitation to round 2 if you pass round 1.

The application results; admission letters/waiting list letters or rejection letters will be sent in June by e-mail, however, the result will also be shared in Søknadsweb.
Remember to check the spam-folder in your e-mail.

DANCE

If the commission have found your audition video (round 1) as 'approved', you will be invited to round 2. In the invitation e-mail you will receive more detailed information regarding entrance exam requirements. Rund 2 consists of audition workshops, solo and interview. All auditions are carried out on one day.

Applicants applying to Bachelor in Dance who lives outside of Scandinavia, may apply for exemption from physical attendancy during entrance exam round 2. In these cases, applicants must submit an extra video audition. Those who pass round 1 will in this case only have a digital interview in week 23/24.

The entrance exam that takes place on campus Bjergsted, applicants must document their artistic qualifications and skills through various practical tests. You must show good skills in contemporary dance, improvisation and contact improvisation, as well as show good development opportunities in terms of dance artistry. During the audition day, there will also be classical ballet, as this is a supporting subject in our programme. However, we expect prior knowledge of classical ballet for applicants who advance to round 2.

Applicants must also present a self-composed solo of 2-3 minutes in duration. This is the same solo that will be recorded on video for round 1. The work should present the applicant as a performer and the ability to be creative is also emphasized. The solo must be self-composed (not material from classes, other teachers or fellow students).

Remember to bring your own music to your self-composed solo (mobile phones, ipad, mac; aux/jack outlet). Also remember clothes and footwear for the different dance classes.

MUSIC

If the commission assesses your main instrument audition on video as passed, you will be invited to round 2. Round 2 consists of an entrance exam/audition and interview, as well as a music theory and aural skill test for bachelor's degree applicants. Each applicant is allocated 30 minute audition with an interview, and you must be prepared to perform the entire audition programme.

Applicants residing outside Norway, Sweden or Denmark can submit the entire repertoire requirement on video (both rounds 1 and 2). If you pass round 1, you will be invited to a digital interview as round 2 in June.

The commission that assesses your entrance exam in round 2 is the same one that assessed your video for round 1. Within the scheduled time for the entrance exam, an interview will also take place in which a representative from the study administration will participate. During the interview, you will have the opportunity to explain your goals and motivation for the study, while also having the opportunity to ask questions to both the teacher and the study administration. Applicants for the master's degree (for jazz only) will also discuss their submitted plans for a future master's project with the commission.
