  • Do you want to travel and meet students from across 12 different European universities?
  • To work on exciting collaborative projects on a range of topics from social media to learner experience within international education?

We are recruiting two ECIU student ambassadors for the 2024-2025 academic year. ECIU stands for the European Consortium of Innovative Universities.

ECIU University wants to provide personalised learning and career opportunities for life, based on co-creation by students, researchers, and external partners. Since UiS is a member of ECIU all UiS students can participate in learning opportunities across the network.

What are the responsibilities of an ECIU student ambassador?

  • Participate in quarterly online meetings and two physical meetings per year hosted by an ECIU partner.
  • Join at least one of the project groups and participate actively in at least one project.
  • Host one local ECIU event during the year.
  • Assist with the recruitment of new ECIU student ambassadors.
  • Mentoring the new cohort of ECIU student ambassadors.

What are the project groups I can join?

Some examples of projects include:

  • Developing merchandise and branding.
  • Creating a green travel network.
  • Improving ECIU user experience.

What will I receive in return?

  • Mobility Grant: You will be funded for your travel and accommodation for the two annual physical meetings, enhancing networking and co-creation opportunities.
  • Student Leadership Development Program Training with physical mobility/travel:You will also be invited to join this program.
  • Ambassador Access: You will have exclusive access to student ambassador activities including invitations to training opportunities with ECIU staff and the chance to represent your university at ECIU events.
  • Branded Materials:  You will receive ECIU University T-shirts, notebooks, and other materials to help promote the visibility of ECIU to your fellow students.
  • Certificate of Recognition: You will receive a certificate of recognition to formally acknowledger your contributions.
  • Recognition on ECIU.eu Website: Your face will be on the ECIU website showing who you are and which university you represent alongside the ECIU staff team. 

How to apply and the deadline

Please write a short application (no longer than 150 words) with the following information:

  • Name
  • Year of study
  • Programme of study

Then please outline your motivation for becoming an ECIU ambassador, your passions, and your interests. Tell us why we should choose you!
