Research dissemination 2024

SHARE researchers strive to be present at a range of forums both national and international to disseminate our research in a variety of forms to reach as many, and as a diverse body of recipients as possible.

SHARE researchers aim to share knowledge that is of interest for fellow researchers as well as patients, familiy members, healthcare workers policymakers, and governmental bodies, as well as the general publick. We therefore strive to be present at both national and international forums of a variety of shapes and sizes to share knowledge at both local, regional and national and international levels.

National dissemination

Professor Karina Aase was given much public attention through her involvement in shedding light to the importance of learning from serious adverse events during her apperance at the TV broadcasted interviews at the national broadcaster TV2 and opinion paper (opinion paper can be accesses here,only in Norwegian). Professor Siri Wiig also engaged in the public debate through her opinion paper Sex, drugs and rock’n’ roll’ is the only time individuals should face consequences together with state administrator Bent Høie. The paper contributed to inform the debate of why and where healthcare personnel can face legal consequences for their actions. Associate Professor Cecilie Haraldseid-Driftland joined the public debate together with several other actors at Arendalsuka debating what the healthcare services must stop doing. Several SHARE reserchers also attended the meeting for Network for Patient Safety, Helse Vest, at Solstrand Hotel, Bergen in August, the Nordic Research Network for Safety and Quality in Healthcare (NSQH) (Oslo) and the National Patient safety conference PSK (Oslo). At PSk both Siri Wiig and Karina Aase contributedas keynote speachers and with oral presentations.

International dissemination

Internationally SHARE Researchers has throughout 2024 been present at conferences, seminars and meetings held all over the world. Five memers traveled to Istanbul where the annual International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) was held. Here they took part as oral speakers, panel debate members and workshop organisers. SHARE members has also contributed with workshops and oral presentations at the European Forum For Primary Care (EFPC) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with oral presentaion at The European Partnership for Supervisory Organisations in Health Services and Social Care (EPSO), in Tallin, oral presentations at University of Lester, seminar participants at Imperial college, UK, hosted by Melani Leis, Peter Howit, Mary Dixon Woods, Jane O’Hara and Natalie Taylor Carolyn Tarant, and oral presentations at the THIS institute UK.
