In this workshop, we reflect on what your examiners want to you demonstrate, discuss how to approach the writing process, and look at the elements of a good “kappe”.
A thesis by publication includes not only the articles intended for publication but also the narrative ("kappe") that demonstrates to examiners that you have fulfilled the requirements of "doctorateness." In this session, we will explore what your examiners expect, discuss strategies for the writing process, and examine the essential components of a strong "kappe." This workshop is part of a two day workshop. You can choose between two- days course in writing and kappe (see more information here) or to only attend the kappe workshop.
The course instructor is Lynn Nygaard. She is an experienced course instructor, author and researcher. Nygaard has held workshops in academic writing for several years at UiS.
