  • Title of the presentation: Learning from participating in customers’ innovation processes.
Abstract:

Suppliers are emphasised as important contributors to innovation activities in customer firms. However, the potential impact of involvement in customers’ innovation activities on suppliers’ own innovation performance has been neglected in innovation research. This presentation explores how suppliers’ contributions to customer firms’ innovation activities are associated with suppliers’ subsequent innovation performance. The analysis is based on survey data on suppliers’ relations to their most important customers combined with register data and innovation survey data.
