About me

I am an associate professor in educational psychology and work primarily with the INTERACT project, but I am also affiliated with the Enact project.

Since 2017, I have been a certified observer and also became a certified trainer in 2021 in the Classroom Assessment Scoring System-Secondary (CLASS-S) from Teachstone.

My research

My field of study is primarily related to classroom interactions and teacher-student interactions in line with the theoretical framework Teaching Through Interactions (TTI). I am particularly interested in teacher-student interactions that focus on the teacher's instructional support and how the quality of instructional support can affect student engagement and learning.

Ongoing research is related to the INTERACT project, where I lead work package 5, which includes the implementation and process evaluation (IPE).

Academic background

I am a qualified general teacher with a specialization in Norwegian and English. I also have a master's degree in special education. My doctoral thesis from 2022: Instructional support in Norwegian classrooms: A multi-method and multi-informant approach, combined questionnaire data from teachers and students, in addition to systematic classroom observations.

Between spring 2022 and spring 2024, I was employed as a postdoctoral researcher in the INTERACT project.
