About me
Postdoctoral Fellow within digital mental health services affiliated with SHARE - Centre for Resilience in Healthcare and the Department of Quality and Health Technology at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
I am currently working with the InvolveMENT project, which aims to improve digital mental health services with and for Indigenous and ethnic minority youth.
I have a background in Psychology and Research, and hold a Ph.D. in Medicine and Health Sciences from the University of Oslo (UiO), in collaboration with the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies (NKVTS). My doctoral thesis was about the association between childhood trauma and development of severe mental illness and substance misuse in children and young people. I also hold an M.Sc in Organisational and Social Psychology from London School of Economics (LSE), an M.Sc. in Clinical Mental Health Sciences from University College London (UCL), and an M.A. with Honours in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh (UoE).
Research interests:
- Mental health in children, adolescents and young adults
- Risk and protective factors for mental illness, including childhood trauma, pain and prescription drug use, and social determinants
- Digital mental health services for young people, especially national minorities, Indigenous peoples and refugees
- Psychiatric epidemiology and neuroepidemiology
- Quantitative research methods
