About me
My name is Daniil Krichevskiy, and I am deeply interested in exploring how field theory can be applied to different areas of physics. This focus has shaped my academic path and research interests.
Since 2023, I have been a PhD candidate specializing in particle cosmology at the Department of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Stavanger, under the supervision of Helena Kolesova. My doctoral research focuses on strongly interacting dark matter (SIMP), where we apply effective theories such as chiral perturbation theory to explore the phenomenology of these models. In particular, this includes studying observable effects like gravitational wave signatures to better understand the physical implications of SIMP models.
Before joining the University of Stavanger, I completed my master’s degree in theoretical physics at the University of Bern. My master’s thesis was in the field of condensed matter field theory, where I investigated non-relativistic conformal field theory (NRCFT) approaches to unitary Fermi gases.
I’m excited to keep learning and contributing to a better understanding of the physical world through my research.
