This position will be held by a student (intern) for 8 weeks during summer break.
Context and environment
TEPN R&D has a dedicated team for CO2 Transport. The team is working on various projects related to both CO2 transport by ship and CO2 transport by pipelines. Compatibility of polymers with CO2 and impurities is one of the topics studied within the team.
Activities
The main objective of this job position is to assist the CO2 Transport R&D team to study the technologies for Carbon Capture and Storage on board ships. At a minimum the following activities will be required from the job holder:
- Perform a literature review focusing on the carbon capture technologies employed by various projects working on onboard carbon capture and storage (OCCS).
- Review the advantages and disadvantages of different technologies in relation to onboard CO2 capture and identify cost optimization possibilities.
- Prepare a report summarizing the conclusions from the study.

Requirements to the applicant
Qualifications/Experience required
Qualification : Bachelor’s or a Master’s student preferably in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
Experience: 0 years.
Basic experience with using sofwares and experience with word and excel.
Language : Fluency in English.
Leadership skills:
Foster a strong integrated safety culture and lead by example.
