Digitalisation for Sustainability (MEE128)
This course provides an opportunity to learn about sustainability aspects of different digitalisation approaches. The course takes environmental sustainability as the starting point but also considers social sustainability. Considerable hopes have been held that digitalisation will assist in sustainability, and this course helps you to look closer at the knowledge we do and do not have about the sustainability of this digitalisation.

Learning outcome
It is expected that upon completion of this course that the students will have the following knowledge, skills, and general competencies:
Knowledge:
- Have an overview of digitalisation for relevant and general sustainability approaches and social science approaches for understanding technology
- Have an overview of the academic knowledge on digitalisation for sustainability, regarding various and varying opportunities and challenges and regarding environmental and social impacts and how these occur
Skills:
- Orient among the knowledge and lack of knowledge on digitalisation for sustainability
- Critically assess and compare options of digitalisation for sustainability
General competencies:
- Individually carry out a larger writing exercise
- Effectively communicate based on academic knowledge
