UiS Business School Seminar: The role of the corporate sector in combatting marine plastic pollution – from an EU law perspective

Abstract:
The topic of my thesis is marine plastic pollution in the EU law context with a special focus on the corporate sector’s role and responsibility therein. During my research, I’d like to understand how environmental regulations can promote the involvement and commitment of the corporate sector to operate in a more sustainable and responsible way when it comes to plastic pollution. The whole plastic production value chain needs to be investigated to get a better insight into how circular economy and sustainable production and consumption could become a reality concerning the entire lifecycle of plastic from cradle to grave.
