The department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science offers a growing range of studies, from bachelor to Ph.d. level.

We offer bachelor's and master's degree in computer technology, computer science (Data Science), automation and electronics design, robotics and signal processing. At the doctoral level, the department provides PhD education in information technology.

The department has the program area Health Technology, several research groups and other interdisciplinary research collaboration. We have great expertise in artificial intelligence, and has gathered this investment in the Stavanger AI Lab network.

Biomedical data analysis is an interdisciplinary research group that uses ideas and approaches from signal and image processing, statistics, biology, chemistry and medicine.

Health technology innovations contribute significantly in the health and care sector. These activities are connected to BMDLab (Biomedical Data Analysis Laboratory).
