Kort om meg
Morten Stinus Kristensen is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Stavanger’s Centre for Gender Studies. He is a member of the project Polarisation, Affect, Identity: Nordic Populism and the Media Landscape (POL-AID) funded by the Norwegian Research Council and led by Associate Professor Liv Sunnercrantz. His work at POL-AID examines potential overlaps between populist logics and discourses on wokeness and identity politics in Danish political rhetoric and media including journalistic coverage.
He holds a PhD in Communications and Media from the University of Illinois and his academic interests are situated at the intersections of Gender Studies, Media Studies, and Journalism Studies. His research pursues questions of how social differences are constructed discursively in old and new media, the manifestation of reactionary movements in culture and society, and how traditional and novel journalistic practices, norms, and values function in the modern media landscape.
