Students must have their own laptop

It is a requirement that all students at the University of Stavanger must have their own laptop.

The Ministry of Education has implemented a self-payment regulation which allow universities and colleges to require students to have their own laptop for use in studies. This also means that students must have their own laptop for use on the exams.. 

Students cannot be required to acquire specific software or particularly specialized or powerful computers, but it is assumed the computer has a up-to-date operating system and an approved browser.
