The objective of the Camp-Nord project is to address the pressing need for subsurface competence in the energy transition, focusing on the challenges faced by hydrocarbon-producing countries like Brazil and Norway. The project aims to bridge the gap in educational initiatives by establishing an education exchange program between Brazilian and Norwegian universities, specifically targeting master's and PhD levels. This initiative aligns with various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including affordable and clean energy (SDG 7) and climate action (SDG 13).

Short Abstract of the Project

The Camp-Nord project aims to enhance subsurface competence essential for the energy transition by promoting educational exchanges between Brazil and Norway. It focuses on master's and PhD level exchanges, involving one semester visits for master's students and PhD students. The project also includes the mobility of academic staff, workshops, and the development of digital platforms to provide access to academic material. By exploring the strengths of both countries' educational systems and existing research cooperation, the project seeks to build a sustainable and self-driven exchange of students, strengthen international cooperation, and develop expertise necessary for the energy transition in both Brazil and Norway.
