Application and payment terms

Please read our application and payment terms carefully before signing up to a course or subject organized by UiS Lifelong learning (UiS Etter- og videreutdanning/UiS EVU).

Published Updated on

Until the application deadline expires, you can freely withdraw your application in the application portal of UiS Lifelong learning (Select institution - EVUweb (fsweb.no))

If you choose to withdraw from a single course, study or subject with a course fee organised by UiS Lifelong learning, the withdrawal deadline is 14 days after receiving the admission letter. A withdrawal from the course must be sent by e-mail to the study coordinator stated in the admission letter. You will receive a confirmation in return by email. When you have been admitted to a single course, study or subject with a course fee, the Cancellation Act applies.

If you choose to withdraw/quit after the expiry of the cancellation period, after the course has started or in the event of non-attendance, the entire course fee will be charged. Paid course fees will not be refunded.

It is the consumer who must prove that the cancellation has been sent within the deadline, should doubts arise about this, cf. §20 of the Act.

The course fee will be invoiced at the latest at the start of the course.

The university reserves the right to cancel courses if there are too few applicants.

Students who have paid the course fee and the semester fee are automatically registered for the exam.

Postponement

If you choose to withdraw from a course/subject/study that has a course fee/payment after the expiry of the withdrawal period, you can request a postponement until the next time the course is arranged. The course fee must still be paid in the current semester.

It is only possible to request a postponement once. If the course is not to be carried out, the course fee will be considered lost. Please note that not all courses are held multiple times.
Some courses may have different rules for postponement and leave. See the Courses’ website.
