The University has established an interdisciplinary PhD community for candidates working on topics linked to the green transition. The purpose of the community is to create a forum where candidates can build networks, exchange ideas, and collaborate with other doctoral candidates in an interdisciplinary context on topics within the green transition. This PhD community will enable students to engage in scholarly discussions and gain a broader perspective on their research, ultimately aiding in the successful completion of their doctoral degree.

The community welcomes members from all disciplinary backgrounds, working in any academic field! The community organizes guest lectures, writing retreats, panel discussions, debates, seminars and monthly social meetups.

Event information, updates, announcements and other information is shared through a Teams group and emailing list. This provides a hub where members can participate in discussions, share ideas and seek advice.

Get in touch with the community coordinator, Angela Subedi (angela.subedi@uis.no) or the green transition coordinator, Rebecca Briedis (rebecca.l.briedis@uis.no) if you would like to receive information and updates about what’s going on in the community.
