Application of Intent for Seed Funding (pdf)

Please send the application to helsecampus@uis.no

Prioritised proposals

Proposals related to service development, competence development, and digitalization of services will be prioritised (refer to NOU 2023:4 "Time for Action" and White paper 9 (2023-2024) "National Health and Care Collaboration Plan 2024-2027: Our Common Healthcare Service").

The project should aim to demonstrate societal impact by highlighting measurable benefits within healthcare services. Priority will be given to projects that showcase cross-sector collaboration involving three or more partners from the public sector, academia, private industry, and user organizations. The University of Stavanger (UiS) must serve as either the project leader or a key partner in the application.

Should include plans for additional funding

The seed funding is intended to support further scaling efforts by enabling applications for regional, national, and international research and innovation funds. Therefore, it is recommended that the proposal includes specific plans for securing additional funding.

The application process is structured in two stages. In the first stage, applicants are required to submit a simplified project outline using the attached “Application of Intent” template. Following a thorough evaluation, the top 10 proposals will be invited to submit a more detailed application. Please refer to the attached evaluation criteria for further guidance.

For more information about the two-stage process, see: "The new method reduced the researchers' time usage by 38 percent - Stiftelsen Dam."

The seed funds are financed by the University Fund for Rogaland AS.
